Frequently Asked Questions
General
The material we use for our Pieces of Art is made from recycled plastic bottles. Per square meter, 40 to 70 bottles are given a new life.
No. The material is completely safe. No hazardous substances are released when touched or processed.
The delivery time is 3-4 weeks after order. We will start working on the artwork for you as soon as possible after your order and send it.
Inside you can hang the artworks in any room. The material is moisture-resistant, color and wear-resistant. With long-term exposure to a very humid environment, the material will eventually wear out, keep this in mind. We therefore advise against hanging it in the bathroom or another humid room.
Each Piece of Art has two hooks on the back with a steel wire stretched between them. This way you don't have to attach the work with two screws and you can hang the work on 1 screw. Because there are many different types of walls, we do not supply screws or plugs. Don't know what to use? Ask at a hardware store what is needed for your wall. Or a handy acquaintance of course ;)
When hanging the work, it is important that you do not grab the artwork at the top, but at the sides. If used carelessly, the top can come loose.
Everything we make is custom, so that is certainly possible. Because deviating artworks do not fall within our process, we make a quote for this based on your wishes.

Maintenance
Water has no effect on the material. However, prolonged exposure to a very humid environment will eventually cause the material to wear out. We also do not recommend hanging the artwork in the bathroom or other humid space.
The material can be cleaned, but it is always better to make sure that the work does not get dirty. If it does happen, you can find some tips here. Read them completely before you start, so that you follow the correct steps.

Acoustics
The works of Pieces of Art are made of a material that also dampens acoustically. This material contributes to better acoustics in the space due to its dampening properties.
The material has an average acoustic effect of 0.55 NRC. For comparison: an open window is equal to 1. With an open window all the sound disappears. The material ensures that 55% of the sound is absorbed.
Fire resistant
The material has a B1 certificate. This is the European standard and indicates that the material is flame-retardant and fire-retardant. It is therefore also suitable for use in public areas.
We believe it is important to contribute to a better world for everyone. That is why we donate 1% of our turnover to the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund.
